Squid color reference

Squid have eight arms and two longer tentacles for catching prey. They swim fast by jet propulsion, pushing water out through a funnel, and steer with fins on the body. Their skin is full of color cells that let them change shade quickly.

Colors to reach for

Start with a pale, slightly see-through white and pink, then dot reddish-brown spots across the body, darker on the top than underneath.
