Ermine color reference

Mustela erminea

The ermine is a small, long-bodied hunter of northern forests and meadows. In snowy places its coat turns white in winter, while the tip of its tail stays black. It is quick enough to hunt rabbits much larger than itself.

Colors to reach for

Keep the winter coat white with a touch of cream, use pale gray for shadows, and black for the tail tip, nose and eyes.
